The Jump Up Steelband performs the music of the Caribbean, Latin America and Brazil. The music makes for a lively experience, especially for world music and jazz fans. We can perform primary or background music for events such as weddings, cocktail parties, dinners, pool parties, company picnics, holiday parties, post-holiday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, concerts or corporate events. You pick the occasion! See your guests get a bounce in their step when they hear our music. We will create the right mood for your event.
The Jump Up Steelband is made up of professional and dependable musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area and frequently travel as far north as Sacramento and as far south as Monterey. Our volume can be adjusted as needed and we are available as a quintet, quartet, trio or duo-always featuring the steel pan (aka steel drum). Please think of us when planning your next event.
